4 Easy Questions About How to Prioritize
By Preben Ormen
Delivering projects is about making a lot of decision. To make good decisions, we need to know how to prioritize. Here are four easy questions to help making the right choices.
It’s really all about classifications into Must Haves, Should Haves, Could Haves or Won’t Haves:
- Must Haves
Must Haves are fundamental to the projects success. Can also be thought of as Will Haves.
Should Haves are important to the project success, but the projects’ success does not rely on them.
Could Haves can easily be left out without impacting on the project. Can also be thought of as Nice to Haves.
Won’t Haves are all the things that this time round can be left out and done at a later date, if at all.
Not a very fancy technique, but it works. Now you know a simple technique for how to prioritize.
