Your posting is much appreciated, Nick, and I'm glad that I took the time to go to your website and look through the Primer you've written. I think that book has applications as a "PM for Executives" required reading. Many PMO executives could use a little basic training phrased in practical and matter-of-fact terms as you have done.

I would welcome your opinions and contributions on a book I am co-authoring called The Fiddler on the Project. You can find out more about that at http://fiddlerontheproject.wikidot.com or from the Scope Crepe blog, http://scopecrepe.blogspot.com .

Thanks again, Nick!

Brilliant post. "if you are too flexible your project will meander like a horse without a rider" is something I have seen PM's pull their hair out over!
