How do I Claim My Free PDUs
By PM Hut
Claiming your free PDUs is quite easy; you basically go through the same procedure when reporting your normal PDU activities.
You can do it in 2 ways: online or offline.
- Reporting your free PDUs online
To report your PDUs online, point your browser to http://tel.occe.ou.edu/pmi/PMI_Member/PDUlogin.php3 and then follow the instructions. Note that PDU claims may take up to 3 weeks to be credited to your account.

Reporting your free PDUs offline
Reporting your PDUs offline can be a bit of a hassle as the procedure is very manual and requires some followup. First you have to request the “Activity Reports Forms” from the PMI customer care, you then have to fill it in, and finally you’ll have to mail it to the PMI Records Office in Oklahoma. Obviously, reporting your PDUs online is much smoother and easier.
Note that for category 2H (just doing your job), category 2SDL (self-learning), and category 5, the maximum number of PDUs that can be claimed in a 3 year period is 15, 15, and 20, respectively.
Do I need to upload/send supporting documentation on how I earned my PDUs?
No, but PMI can just audit you at any time, so you should keep those papers handy.
Can I claim PDUs earned before I became a PMP?
No. PDUs can only be earned after you have your PMP certification.
Is there a deadline for claiming my PDUs?
Yes there is. You should report PDUs every 3 years after your first CCR (Continuing Certification Requirements) cycle starts. Failure to do so will get you suspended. In case you have more than 60 PDUs in the current 3 year cycle, you can have up to 20 PDUs of the last year of your current cycle to be transferred to the next cycle.
