I have worked in the project industry since the early 1970s. My training and consulting career began in 1981 with the Yourdon organization. I became independent in 1986 and have taught full-time since then.
I specialize in project management, business requirements and knowledge management. I am actively involved in research with the University of Oklahoma on the relationship of project deliverables and project management to knowledge management. I helped found and operate the Knowledge and Project Management Symposium each August held in Tulsa, Oklahoma (www.kipanet.org).

I provide project management training and consulting to many of the largest US companies since 1989. I have also taught in Europe and Canada. My courses are distinctive in that they explain implications to the project management discipline due to the knowledge age and the relationship to knowledge management. My primary focus is on single-time efforts that occur only once within a reasonable period of time and usually result in innovative, creative products. These projects require a strategy that is distinct from the traditional industrial era style of project management based on standardization of work, specialization of the worker and synchronization of the total effort.
