I received my Project Management Professional certification in June of 2009 after many years in a several different trades and as an IT Professional. When I sat for my Project Management Professional test in June, 2009 I was able to document 7,771 hours of combined IT project management and construction management. The construction project was a 7,000 square foot, custom home in Lakewood, Colorado. I both designed the home and drafted the blueprints in AutoCad and the project was completed on time and in budget. In parallel with this project, I managed various projects for the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC)computing infrastructure hardware and Oracle systems migration from Oracle Version 8.1 to Oracle Version 10g, Standard Edition One and the complete replacement of all hardware systems. At the same time I was also the UNIX/Linux Administrator and the Federal Grants Administrator for CSOC, so I know how to teach the art of obtaining grants as well as multi-tasking and learning to shift focus from the detail oriented view to the overall picture. I have also taught Oracle 10g DBA at the University of Colorado in early 2008 so I am well qualified to instruct CAPM and PMP to Information Services Professionals.
