Rolf Kühnast Rolf Kühnast A graduate Electronics Engineer by training, I started his professional career in the aerospace industry as a design engineer in 1970. In 1982 I joined an IT engineering company as Group Executive. During this time, I completed the Masters in Business Leadership (MBL), a 4-year part-time degree through UNISA.(University of South Africa) Many of the concepts studied were applied directly in my business environment. My business unit was one of the first companies in South Africa to use a Matrix structure, and to use Earned Value Project Management. For the success of the division, I was nominated for the client’s prestigious Chairman’s Award in 1987. I was also nominated to the Board of my parent company. In 1994 I joined the local operation of a German Automotive sound and navigation systems manufacturer as Managing Director and in 1996 was offered a position as Group Managing Director of a Fleet Tracking Company. I left this group in 1997 to start my own consulting and training company, specialising in Project and Strategic Management. I have managed various projects in the IT, security, electronic and advertising industries, and have been a senior facilitator in Project Management for Damelin, a private educational institution, over the last 10 years. I have facilitated the Cambridge University International Diploma in Project Management, as well as the Project Management module for the Oxford Brookes MBA. I have also developed custom Project Management courses for large parastatal organisations, as well as facilitated Project Risk Management workshops. I enjoy facilitating learning in adults. I have the ability to understand complex technical topics and situations and to explain these in simple terms. People say that I pay attention to detail and goe the extra mile. Frank Parth

Frank ParthFrank Parth, MS, MSSM, MBA, PMP brings 30 years experience in project/program management and technology development to his teaching and consulting work. He has consulted to clients in multiple industry sectors, including high tech, food processing, construction, chemical processing, utilities, government, aerospace, healthcare, the consulting industry, and financial services. He is active within the Project Management Institute, most recently serving as the project management for PMI’s Standard for Program Management, 2nd edition. Mr. Parth has been an adjunct professor of project management and systems engineering at the University of California at Irvine (UCI) Extensions program since 1994. He is a guest lecturer at USC’s Marshall School of Business and at the American University of Sharjah in the UAE and has developed and taught courses for the American Management Association. He is an accomplished international trainer having taught over 3000 students in the U.S., U.K., Canada, the Middle East, and Asia. He is the co-author of Introduction to IT Project Management, published by Management Concepts (2006) and is currently under contract to write a book on Enterprise Portfolio Management for them. He has published multiple articles in professional journals around the world.

Wouter BaarsWouter Baars has a masters degree in industrial engineering and management science at the Eindhoven University of Technology and is an experiences project leader. He has been leading projects for KPN, The Waag Society, The European Commission, several smaller businesses and non profit organizations. Since 2003 he has been teaching project management and helping companies to get their project management on a better level. Wouter Baars is the author of the open source book on project management that is currently in use by the KNAW (The Royal Dutch Academy of Science) and several other organizations.

Barry OtterholtBarry Otterholt has been a project management specialist and coach for the past 30 years. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). He works with both public and private sector companies in the USA, Europe and Scandinavia. Mr. Otterholt was a Director with Microsoft, a senior consultant with Deloitte Consulting, and a COO with a nationwide consumer electronics enterprise. In 1988 he founded Public Knowledge, LLC to provide independent management and operational support to the public sector. More recently, he founded Stouffer & Company, LLC to provide as-needed project management services to fill an obvious skills gap in both private and public sectors. Mr. Otterholt is an adjunct professor teaching project management at Northwest University. His essays on project management have been published in PMI newsletters. His runs a blog, Project Management Essays, where he muses about various project management topics. Mr. Otterholt is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has a BA in Accounting and Computer Science and an MBA in Business Administration. He lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

John Reiling, MBA, PMPI grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, where I excelled at football, basketball, math, and art. I went to college at Princeton and earned a BS in Engineering. I then entered a career in industry, working in mining, manufacturing, metal fabricating, environmental services, and other related industries. Along the way I earned my MBA from Carnegie Mellon. After about 12 years I made a switch into the information technology field, becoming a Lotus Notes developer. I gradually moved into project management in that field.
