Have you guys actually worked on the project ?
Did not meet you there.

Also your article has zero relevance to the problems
encountered in SA 2010.

Best regards

Being from Cape Town, South Africa, I loved this article and all the parallels between soccer and project management. I enjoy watching the tournament and can relate to your observations. It was well thought through.
I have also done some posts about the projects in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup and I would like to reference this post on my blog if I may.

As a project manager and an Argentinian, I like this article.

Teamwork is very imporant in a project (even if the endeavor is a soccer match), that teamwork was not present against Germany, that's why we lost.

Was Diego Maradona a bad Project Manager (how come he was great in the first games)? Has the team lost the momentum? Have the team members suddenly become insubordinate, refusing to work with each other, and refusing to listen to their project manager?

So many questions, but the only answer is that the project flopped. As usually, the easiest thing you can do is to blame the project manager.
