Who Should Lead And Manage The Project Management Office (PMO)?

The person selected to run the Project Management Office (PMO) should be:

  • Someone independent of IT
  • Seasoned and practical Project Management professional (Project Management professional in this context is not equivalent to PMP)
    • Someone with getting things done track record
    • Highly refined crab detector
  • Respected and trusted by IT
  • Respected and trusted by management
